Techexplorer Tips
-
Some versions of techexplorer uses a plugin which doesn't work in
Internet Explorer 5.5 or later. The solution is to
-
use the Professional Edition and run teAxOverride.exe. This will tell
IE to use the ActiveX control instead of the plug-in.
or
-
download a free copy of IBM's techexplorer Introductory version 3.3
from Mathcad's
site
-
If you print a page don't use IE's print because the result is truly
awful. Right click and then press print to use techexplorer's
printing, which gives a good result.
-
Opening a tex file in a browser greys out View Source, which stays
grey. The workaround is to close and reopen IE.
-
Techexplorer may hijack the file associations for .tex, .bbl, .tcx
and .mml. To restore the assocations, shift right-click on say, a
.tex file in Windows Explorer, choose Open With and ensure that
'Always use this program ...' is checked. To restore the correct icon
used in Windows Explorer, go to View, Folder Options, File Types,
texFile, Edit, Change Icon. |
